Blue and white are two colors that almost always make a stylish combination, whatever the season. For a smoother transition from summer to fall, opt for muted tones like creamy white and light blue or the slightly sharper contrast of chalky white and bright blue. Here are three inspiring ways to wear the blue and white Oxford shirt as fall approaches.
Oxford shirt and jeans
In this first combination, we've chosen dark blue stonewashed jeans paired with a light blue striped Oxford shirt. Draped over the shoulders is a taupe-colored knitted pullover, adding a stylish and classic touch while providing warmth as the temperature drops. To elevate the look further, add a pair of black handmade loafers or boat shoes for an extra luxurious touch. The combination of jeans and a shirt is timeless and straightforward — it doesn't have to be more complicated than that.
Oxford shirt and cardigan
In the second combination, we reverse the color scheme with white on the bottom in the form of chunky jeans and a light blue shirt topped with a dark blue cardigan. A pair of solid-colored light jeans provides a slightly dressier feel compared to classic stonewashed jeans, while the lighter tones maintain a summery vibe. This ensemble is perfect for achieving a fresh and elegant look before the darker colors of autumn take over.
Oxfords shirt and a knitted sweater
The third combination offers a softer contrast between blue and white. A cream-colored knitted V-neck sweater is worn over a dark blue shirt and paired with dark blue selvedge jeans. This color palette creates a harmonious and warm feeling. To complete the look, opt for a pair of brown boat shoes that perfectly complement the earthy tones.
